The Dakar Rally has taken place from 1st to 15th January, 2012 in South America - in Argentina, Chile and Peru - and takes place since 1978.
Final ranking 33rd Dakar-rally: 1. De Rooy (Iveco) 45.20.47, 2. Stacey at 51.19, 3. Ardavichus (Kamaz) 1.47.45, 10. Versluis 11.12.32, 22. De Baar 22.3939, 23. Van Vliet 23.41.42.
At the start in Mar del Plata (Argentinië) 443 particpants. Finished in Lima: 97 motorcycles, 12 quads, 78 cars and 60 trucks. Failure rate 45%.
